Flag Bearer

Central Coast Commemoration Guard flag bearer training begins with how to wear your uniform and march in formation. You’ll learn to follow verbal commands and how to manipulate the flags and swagger sticks in a parade.

Rifle Squad

Rifle squad training begins with how to wear your uniform and march in formation. You’ll learn to follow verbal commands and manipulate the rifles in a parade.

Catafalque Party

Rifle carriers may progress to the Catafalque party by invitation of the guard commander when they have reached a level of proficiency in the rifle squad. The catafalque party consists of four members of an armed guard who stand, their heads bowed and their arms (weapon) reversed, facing outward approximately one metre from the memorial or catafalque as a symbolic form of respect for those who have fallen.
